Dr. Patel’s hometown is Iowa City, Iowa. He studied both biomedical engineering and biochemistry as an undergraduate and then went to medical school at the University of Iowa. After finishing medical school, Dr. Patel stayed in Iowa City to complete his residency in Radiology. After residency, he did further sub-specialty training in Musculoskeletal Radiology as an Associate Fellow at the University of Iowa. Dr. Patel has been board certified in Radiology since 2003.
