Dr. Ellingson’s hometown is Newton, Iowa. He studied biology and chemistry at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa and then went to medical school at the University of Iowa. After completing medical school, Dr. Ellingson started his residency at the University of Iowa. Following completion of his residency, he immediately started a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Iowa. He completed his training in June 2007 and joined Advanced Radiology, S.C. in July of that same year. He has been board certified in Radiology since June 2006. Dr. Ellingson became sub-specialty board certified for Neuroradiology in 2009.
